The cannon on the right was found in St. Mary's Creek in the year 1876 and formed part of the armament either of the Matthias or Charles The Vth formerly Dutch men of war which were sunk when the Dutch fleet came up the Medway in the year 1667. This gun is on English manufacture bearing Tudor arms.
